Two suspects were arrested for strong-arm robberies and impersonating law enforcement officers in Florida.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, Sean Armas and Billy Brewer were arrested in connection with three strong-arm robberies and impersonating law enforcement officers. Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward.

The first South Florida robbery took place earlier this month near Cresthaven Boulevard and Military Trail. The victim was riding an electric bicycle when the suspects pulled alongside him in a black Ford F-250 or F-350 pickup truck. According to local law enforcement, the vehicle had the words “State Trapper” printed on both rear windows, along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) logo stickers on the rear driver’s-side window, rear passenger-side window, and rear windshield.

The suspects demanded the victim’s identification and passport and questioned whether he was a U.S. citizen. When the victim questioned their authority and refused to comply, one of the suspects exited the vehicle and snatched a gold chain from the victim’s neck, according to PBSO. Following a brief struggle, the suspects fled the scene.

The second robbery took place at a bus stop near South Military Trail and Summit Boulevard. According to law enforcement, the suspects approached the bus stop in a dark-colored pickup truck. One suspect exited the vehicle and approached a female victim, implying that he had a firearm before grabbing and ripping a gold necklace from her neck. The victim began screaming, and the suspects fled the scene.

The third robbery took place in the 4000 block of Roberts Way. The victim reported that he was riding an electric scooter when the suspects’ vehicle cut him off. The suspects pushed the victim off the scooter and took possession of it. During the incident, an unidentified witness confronted the suspects. The suspects then identified themselves as law enforcement officers before fleeing in their vehicle.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Tactical Unit agents located the suspects’ vehicle parked in the 2600 block of Saginaw Avenue, with both Sean Armas and Billy Brewer inside. The victims identified both suspects as the individuals responsible for the robberies, according to law enforcement. Detectives executed a search warrant and recovered stolen property and evidence related to the investigation.

PBSO believes there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Anyone who recognizes Armas or Brewer, or who may have had an encounter with either individual, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477).
